The annotated almanacs of Reverend John Eliot, minister of the New North Church (Fifth Church, Boston) and founding member and corresponding secretary of the Massachusetts Historical Society. His annotations include descriptions of weather, sermons he preached, a list of marriages and deaths of his congregation, a record of meetings and other social engagements he attended, and an account of debts, loans, and the changing value of his house.
